By The Way...
Attention University Students: University policy mandates that under NO circumstances are cockroaches in CV circle to be mercilessly slaughtered for the selfish motives of student comfort. Students of Centennial Village were instructed to let the critters live, as construction under Regan Hall disturbed their natural habitat and thus their migration to CV was the University's fault. In similar news, bug sprays are now considered illegal because "bugs have feelings too, you know." And lastly, all rattraps have been removed from campus because "how would you feel if I seduced your mom with cheese and then caught her butt in a steel trap?"
Just when you thought you fully understood the power of a name...
Residents should know that not only will a college education open doors to successful futures, but tuition is well spent by providing - get this - asbestos immunity. The EPA, arguably the most knowledgeable organization concerning the effects of pollutants and contaminants, has deemed they cannot take action against asbestos in Gibbons because the University escapes regulation by not being a primary or secondary school. Apparently, at such an advanced stage of education, our bodies are immune to asbestosis, lung cancer and well...even death. So go ahead, Gibbons residents - inhale! Everybody's doin' it...
University officials have graciously provided students with the opportunity to use the "Zip Car" system, a cost-effective and practical arrangement in which students can rent one of several vehicles for the day. All students must do is register and pay the trivial fee of their first born male, which then makes the student eligible to sell their soul in exchange for a car. If the student wishes to actually drive the car (as opposed to posing seductively next to the ultra-hip puce VW bug), a donation of at least one vital organ is necessary per hour. University officials expect this system to be a nice alternative to the Metro, as the recent fifteen cent fair increase makes Metro travel just too darn costly.

Greg Combet: Morality will prevail over profit September 27, 2004 NOTHING in my working life has upset me as much as James Hardie's attempt to walk away from people who are suffering disease and death because of exposure to the company's asbestos products. It highlights a disconnection between commercial decisions and morality which is sickening.
